The Chinese Lunar Calendar is said to have been around for over 700 years now. Many Chinese put a lot of faith in it’s results, many Westerners aren’t so sure.

First you need to under stand how to use it properly, then I’ll let you be the judge!

First you need to know the month of conception, conception not birth. Some have mistakenly used the actual birth date and of course this won’t give you an accurate result, so be sure you use the month of conception!

Next, and this is the confusing part for most people, you have to use the mothers age at conception, but her age on the Chinese calendar not the Gregorian Calendar used in the west.

Because of the differences in these calendars, the mother should add one year to her age at conception to begin with, and if she conceives after January 29 (the Chinese New Year) she should add another year.

You then simply find the month of conception and the age of the mother using the parameters above, follow the two columns till they intersect and if the square is blue it’s a boy baby and if it’s pink it’s a girl baby.

You, of course, can find out (by way of an ultra-sound) if you will have a boy or girl in your seventh or eighth month, but if nothing else the Chinese Lunar Calendar is fun to try and you can use it on your other children or anyone’s children for that matter.

So have some fun with it, and remember you’re baby is a gift from above no matter what gender it!

Couples can use a Chinese conception chart, also known as a Chinese pregnancy calculator to predict the gender of their child. This will all be depending on the month of conception, the mother’s age and when the child was conceived.

The mother’s age on the chart ranges from 18 to 45 years old. It is rumored that this Chinese gender calculator was unearthed approximately 700 years ago from a royal grave. While many claim that this tool used to determine baby gender is successful more times than it’s not, are you ready to roll the dice? It is common for expecting parents in the West to use this solely for amusement purposes. Perhaps a Chinese due date calculator will soon be discovered, and parents will be able to further enjoy anticipation of their child’s arrival!

For myself as a mom of 5 kids I have used many of the charts and tests to determine baby’s gender. I have found the Chinese conception charts and Chinese gender calculator to be fairly accurate, depending on your age. They were wrong for my first 2 children; I was 20 and 23 with them. They were right with my last 3; I was 25, 27 and 29 with them.

You must remember to use a Chinese calendar style due date calculator or else your conception date will be way off. Or better yet just find a Chinese pregnancy calendar. A lot of them have the info right there for you. Of course you must know that they are all out there for fun. I certainly wouldn’t go out and buy clothes or toys based on them.

Then there are other tests, silly little ones that ask a series of questions like: is your hair growing faster, do you like sweet or sour and things like that. If you try the draino test do it outside in a glass jar. Otherwise it stinks horribly and it will melt anything plastic. It has a 50/50 chance in my opinion.

Oh I especially enjoyed the fortune-baby test. It was fun and exciting, though again I resorted to more traditional Western practices of using ultra sound. It was fun to try methods used by different cultures and yet basically the only truly accurate way to determine the gender of your baby is via ultra sound or amniocenteses tests. Amniocentesis, which by the way is 100% accurate; yet it has a small risk to mom and baby.

It’s up to you what to try, just be sure you have fun with it and don’t take it to heart! I would suggest you don’t go shopping based on any gender prediction test besides the ultra sound or amniocenteses. Happy Pregnancy!

A Chinese pregnancy calendar is mainly used to find out if you are going to have a girl or a boy child. This calendar was hidden in a royal tomb, but now it is on display in the Beijing Institute of Sciences. However, the child sex predicted by the chart is not 100% accurate. For example: If the chart predicts a boy child it is not necessary it will be a boy, it could be a girl also.

Division Of The Chinese Pregnancy Calendar

The pregnancy calendar is divided into two major categories – age and months of conception. This calendar can be used by either putting your age and the month when you conceived. Then if it turns out on the pink side that means you are expecting a girl and if it is on the blue side, it means it will be a boy child. For example – If a mother is 20 years and she conceived in June that means she is expecting a male child.

Chinese Lunar Pregnancy Chart

A scientist of Chinese origin also created another chart known as the Chinese Lunar Pregnancy Chart. It is used to determine how to find out the child’s sex accurately. A Chinese pregnancy calendar just shows the age and the month of conception. But the Chinese Lunar Pregnancy Chart shows how exactly the information is calculated. On the page there are six slabs. The first row consists of the mother’s information that is her year of birth, month, date and time. The second row shows the conception details such as year, month, date, etc.

How To Use Chinese Lunar Pregnancy Calendar?

For example – If the mother is born on June 15, 1970 and she conceived in June 30, 2004 then her Chinese age is 35 and Lunar fifth month in the Lunar calendar. And the child will be a girl.

The curiosity to know about the sex of the unborn baby, at the time of Pregnancy Period is seen round the globe. The predictions for the same are done by most of the civilizations since thousands of years.

The Chinese pregnancy calendar is believed to be the nearest to the truth. These predictions are just for fun and you should not take them seriously in this modern age when accurate pregnancy tests are available for such information.

As soon as most people find out that they are going to have a baby, they want to find out what gender the baby will be. They want to know if they are having a boy or a girl. Some people would even like to try any method that might help them to have a child of a particular gender. One resource that can be helpful in situations like this, when it is too early for an ultrasound to determine the gender of the baby, is to use a Chinese pregnancy calendar.

A Chinese pregnancy calendar has the lunar months written across the top of the chart, and the age of the mother written down the side of the chart. By using this sort of calendar you can get a prediction of what sex a baby will be if it is conceived by a mother of a certain age in a certain lunar month.

Using a Chinese pregnancy calendar, however, is not as simple as it might look at first glance. The Chinese calculate age differently than we do, so you need to add one year to the age of the mother to get the Chinese age. Since the lunar calendar is also different from the calendar that we use, the month of conception also needs to be changed into the lunar month. Once that has been done it is a very simple matter to plug these numbers into the chart. The square that corresponds to the Chinese age and lunar month of conception will show either a B for boy or a G for girl.

This method of prediction has is actually right a good percentage of the time, but it is not always 100 percent correct. Just like most other methods of predicting the sex of a baby, there is room for error. However, this type of calendar can give you an idea of what you might be having earlier than you could find out from the doctor. You could also use it to try to figure out the best time to get pregnant in order to have a baby of the gender you would prefer. Of course there are no guarantees, but it is worth a try.

My name is Judy from NY USA, one of my friends who is a Chinese taught me the correct way to use Chinese Pregnancy Calendar to predict baby gender. I have used it successfully predict my baby gender in the early stage of my pregnancy. I share the method with anyone who wants to learn.

Chinese Pregnancy Calendar is based on Chinese lunar calendar which is totally different from the Western Calendar (Gregorian Calendar). the lunar calendar use it’s own system to record dates and the four seasons. For example, the lunar month March is at 17th April 2007, so it is impossible to get accurate prediction based on the Western calendar.

How to Use Chinese Pregnancy Calendar

Chinese lunar months from January to December are listed on the top row of the Chinese pregnancy calendar, and the mother’s ages during the conception from 18 to 45 are listed on the left column of the pregnancy calendar.
First, find out the Chinese pregnancy Calendar in my website, then follow the steps below to get accurate results.

1. take note of the woman’s age during the time of conception.

2. Add 1 to the woman’s age.

3. Take note of the month when the baby was conceived and then exchange the month into the Lunar Month.

4. Then, locate the month on the top portion of the Chart and the age on the left side of the chart.

5. Lastly, follow these two coordinates to the spot where they meet and intersect, and look for the corresponding box labeled “B” for boy, or “G” for girl.

Although Chinese Pregnancy Calendar maintains 95% results for baby gender prediction, it is not the proven method for baby gender selection. You may more valuable info regarding gender selection and pregnancy in my website.

Parents-to-be adopt many methods to determine whether the unborn baby is a boy or a girl. The Chinese pregnancy calendar is an often used method to know about the gender of the new life in the mother’s womb.

The Chinese pregnancy calendar is an ancient way for predicting the gender of the unborn child. It is also known as a “Chinese conception chart,” or the “Chinese Conception Calendar. It is believed that this ancient method is highly accurate, although no clinical studies verify these claims.

History – Chinese Pregnancy Calendar

This chart is an ancient Chinese secret. A Chinese scientist developed this calendar, 700 years ago. According to a legend, the Chinese pregnancy calendar is capable of predicting the baby’s gender based on two variables: the baby’s month of conception and the mother’s age.

This chart was kept in a royal tomb, near the city of Peking in China in ancient times. Now this original Chinese chart is on display at the Beijing Institute of Science. Many people, especially the Chinese, believe that the original Chinese pregnancy calendar is almost 100% accurate.

How it Works?

According to studies, the Chinese pregnancy calendar has been found to be 97% effective in predicting a baby’s gender. This accuracy is credited to the use of Chinese lunar calendar.
The Chinese pregnancy calendar is dependent on the lunar calendar. It is based on the month a baby is conceived and not the birth month. The second factor is the mother’s age at the time of conception, adding 9 months to her age to adjust the lunar calendar.

The conceived month from January to December is listed on the top row of the Chinese pregnancy chart, and the left column of the chart represents the mother’s age during the conception. You need to follow the steps given below to get the most accurate result from the Chinese pregnancy calendar.

1. Note down your age at the time of conception.

2. Add 9 months to the age to adjust to the lunar calendar.

3. Also note down the month when the baby was conceived.

4. Now simply search for the conceived month across the top portion of the chart and the age on the left side of the chart.

5. Lastly, follow these two coordinates to the spot where they intersect, and that will show you either a box containing “B” for boy, or “G” for girl.

In comparison to the Chinese pregnancy calendar, the ultrasound during the 7th or 8th month of the pregnancy is a more reliable method to know the gender of the child. In fact an ultrasound is use to monitor the pregnancy development week by week development right from conception till child birth.

Whether it is a boy or a girl, what does it matter? What matters is that you have fun guessing the gender of your unborn child using the Chinese calendar. All along use a pregnancy journal to record your pregnancy development week by week.

So, you want to know if your baby is a boy or a girl, but your midwife or obstetrician can’t be sure just yet? Perhaps a ancient Chinese gender calculator can help you; sometimes the best methods are the simplest and oldest, after all.

The method is steeped in legend; no one is sure if the tale is really true, but it makes a good story, nonetheless. According to the legend, about 700 years ago, Chinese astrologists and medical practitioners created a chart was that could be used to determine baby gender with extremely high accuracy. The chart was lost for centuries, buried in a Royal Tomb near Beijing. When it was unearthed, the original was taken to the Institute of Science of Peking, where it remains. Fortunately, copies leaked out, and those have found their way around the world.

Whether the story behind the Chinese pregnancy calendar is true or not, many people believe that the chart can do a surprisingly good job of predicting baby gender from just the dates of conception.

The rows of the chart are labeled with the months of the year down the right side; across the top, a series of ages label the columns. To use the chart, find the month when the child was conceived (not born-this is vital) along the right side. Then locate the age of the mother at the time of conception along the top. Run your fingers along these two lines until you reach the point at which they intersect, a point marked with a square. Inside that square will be a “G” or “F” if it is a girl, and a “B” or “M” if it is a boy.

There are few, if any, scientific studies of the Chinese pregnancy calendar, but a scattering of informal polls and studies suggest that it will determine baby gender at a rate much higher than chance; you stand a better chance of getting the right answer than if you flipped a coin, say.

Of course, there are some tricky points. You must know the month in which the baby was conceived. If you think the baby was conceived early in one month, but was actually conceived late in the prior month, the chart will fail to give accurate results. You can use a due date calculator and work backward, but if the likely conception date is near the beginning or end of a month, you may not be able to use the chart with complete certainty. Too bad there isn’t a Chinese conception chart!

Whether the Chinese gender calculator actually can determine baby gender, no one knows for sure. But it’s a fun way to pass the time before the big day! And if the chart proves correct, imagine the surprise of your friends and family when you tell them the gender of your baby was already known 700 years ago!
